about

Written in 2017 about trying to be able to write without needing some sort of negative emotion. I sat down at the piano to write another song about a failed relationship and just realized I was sick of needing some sort of sadness to write.

In a way it I was influenced by the bipolar nature to my creative process. I get so incredibly happy and "up" when the shows are going great and we're out late all night enjoying life. Then the morning the "ups" are always being balanced out by the "downs". Those downs are what help me be creative but at times the reward of a song I'm proud about is not worth the depression.

lyrics

Take away the pain I don't need it anymore
All it ever did was glorify me.
You used to be the one I'd want knocking at the door
But now I just need you to leave

Well momentary bliss is not happiness
I need colors n the sky to feel alive

I don't know if what I see is reality
Cuz to me I'm on top of the world
And standing up so high I can feel it in the sky
When I dance with the beautiful earth

But momentary bliss is not happiness
I need colors n the sky to feel alive

Well momentary bliss is not happiness
I want colors n the sky to feel alive
